A trip to Luna Park is like stepping into a time warp. Melbourne's Luna Park was built in 1912 and is dominated by its entrance - an enormous frowning face that looms over you as you walk through the opening arch. A rocketing wooden roller coaster rises around the edge of the park. Sydney's Luna Park has been embroiled in controversy every since it opened in 1930s and situated as it is on the edge of the Harbour it is a prime target for developers.
