This project Calder's Camels, part of my Master of Teaching degree, explored the unfamiliar medium of wire sculpture.

Having worked at a boy's school in my first teaching practicum, I was interested in developing a project that would capture the imagination of male students, who can find it difficult to engage in a creative mode.

My starting point for this project was a painting of camels in which their shape, size, mannerisms and movement fascinated me.
